Die Nickel-Chrom-Eisen-Inconel-Legierung 600 (UNS N06600/W.Nr. 2.4816) ist ein Standardwerkstoff für Anwendungen, die Korrosions- und Hitzebeständigkeit erfordern. Die Legierung verfügt außerdem über hervorragende mechanische Eigenschaften und bietet die gewünschte Kombination aus hoher Festigkeit und guter Bearbeitbarkeit. Die Legierung wird aufgrund ihrer Festigkeit und Korrosionsbeständigkeit häufig in der chemischen Industrie verwendet. Zu den Anwendungen gehören Heizgeräte, Destillierapparate, Blasentürme und Kondensatoren für die Verarbeitung von Fettsäuren; Verdampferrohre, Rohrböden und Flockenböden zur Herstellung von Natriumsulfid; und Ausrüstung für den Umgang mit Abietinsäure bei der Herstellung von Papierzellstoff.
